{C3MAIN Command B - Bulletins{C2
This command lists bulletins available for you to read.
Bulletins are text files that provide you with timely information about a
variety of topics. These may include instructions for new users, upcoming
events, and other material that the SYSOP would like to bring to your attention. Read a
bulletin by entering the bulletin name or number at the prompt. Press the
enter key to return to the Main Menu. When you enter "{C3B{C2" at the command
prompt, the following prompt will appear:
{C3Read what bulletin(s), L)ist, S)ince N)ews, (ENTER=none)?{C2
Entering "{C3S{C2" will display any new bulletins posted by the SYSOP since the last
time you logged on.
Entering "{C3L{C2" will list all of the bulletins available.
Entering "{C3N{C2" will display the News bulletin.

{C4TIPS:{C2
1. Bulletins may be in sub-menus. Entering the sub-menu name will bring up
another list of bulletins to choose.
2. You may find it useful to capture bulletins to disk on your personal
computer for later viewing. "Capture to disk" is a feature that may be
available on your communications programs.
3. Some SYSOPs make their bulletins available on the Files System for
downloading, so you can read them off-line.
4. You can specify multiple bulletins to read in the command prompt. For
example, "{C3B 1 7{C2" will read bulletins 1 and 7.
5. You will see the {C3N{C2)ews bulletin when you log-in if it has changed, but
you can always view it from the Bulletin menu.

You can also "stack" bulletin commands. For example, if you enter {C3B;3;5 {C2at
the main menu prompt, the system will enter the bulletin subsystem and display
bulletins 3 and 5.
As you use the bulletin subsystem, keep in mind that you may find it useful to
capture bulletins to disk on your personal computer for later viewing. "Capture
to disk" is a valuable feature available on many communications programs (e.g.,
Qmodem, Crosstalk, Procomm).
This concludes the Bulletin Subsystem Tutorial. Please feel free to address any
questions concerning bulletins to the Sysop.
